Hi! My name is R. D. Schwope, and I’m a young adult fantasy author.

I enjoy writing darkly whimsical stories with sharp wit and prickly characters, as well as reluctant alliances, clever escapes, and moments of mischief amid the chaos.

When I am not immersed in stringing words and worlds together, my days consist of being a stay-at-home mother for my two sons.

I also hold a BA in Psychology, and I dedicated much of my academic career to musical performance and the craft of writing.
